Aimee Bowen | Producer

Aimee Bowen hails from southern Virginia, where she first became interested in production technology through working with her father on various projects in his recording studio. Aimee graduated cum laude from Radford University in June 2006, where she obtained a BA in Media Studies with both Journalism and Production Technology concentrations and a minor in Anthropology. She served as Executive Producer of the student run television station, Radford on Camera, and held the position of Chair of the Student Media Committee both her junior and senior years. Aimee also served with high level administrators on several student advisory panels for various faculty and staff searches at Radford and helped form the Internet based radio station "Radio Free Radford".

Aimee came to Hometown Wilmington Media in January of 2007 and first signed on as evening news anchor, shortly after moving up to produce the Morning Beat and onto taking on responsibilities as Operations Manager of The Big Talker FM as well. Though she initially moved to Wilmington with hopes of breaking into the film industry, Aimee notes that "Radio has been a natural transition and the cultural Anthropology classes have proven to be interesting assets when it comes to breaking down, researching and analyzing the realm of politics."
