On December 29th, 2011, Marc Benson, while appearing as a guest on the Big Talker, made a reference to a certain group of people that was unacceptable to this radio station. He has since publicly apologized and understands that remarks of this nature, whether stated in the heat of passion or in any other context, represent poor judgment and subject our listeners to a level of ignorance and insensitivity that will not be tolerated by this company.
Please know that we abide by a strict belief in the thoughtful and civil exchange of ideas, and we consistently adhere to a policy that will not tolerate anything less than that full integrity from our hosts, guests or any other party related to our stations. The idea behind Blue Line Radio is to help bring about an awareness to the listening community about law enforcement. We want a comfortable partnership to develop between citizens and those sworn to protect and serve; a partnership that will aid in reducing crime, adding to the quality of life that we all seek. The program is a community service offered by its creators.
Marc Benson, our show's host, is no stranger to controversy. Nor is he one to back down from a fight. His 24 years of experience in law enforcement qualify him to be an expert in criminal justice.
